We promote the use of bioresources that are collected, preserved and provided as part of the National BioResource Project (NBRP). As part of our public relations activities, we showcase our collection at academic conferences and commercial exhibitions by coordinating exhibitions where many researchers in the field of life science gather. We also organize symposiums and events open to the public, manage the NBRP website and produce printed materials such as brochures and posters to provide an overview of the NBRP activities.
In April 2016, the NBRP Public Relations Office (NBRP Public Relations Office Establishment Guidelines) was set up at the National Institute of Genetics to carry out the outreach and public relations activities of the projcet. We strive to be a contact point for the NBRP core facilities, and users and the general public, including young people and students.
