Researchers of the National Institute for Physiological Sciences, Sub-Core Center of the NBRP “Japanese Macaques” resource have identified one of the key brain circuits for deciding the value of a reward based on the rewards that others have received, known as socially subjective reward valuation.
Japanese monkeys used in this study were provided by the National BioResource Project “Japanese Macaques” of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan, MEXT.
