The project began in FY2002, and is now in its 4th term, with a review every five years. We have been striving to provide stable business services, responding to various crises, such as the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake and the new coronavirus (COVID-19), which is expected to continue to be a major issue in 2021.
At the same time, in order to respond flexibly and accurately to the changes in research needs, we promote the entire project by addressing the respective programs’ research needs through a Steering Committee consisting of representatives from the research communities for the programs’ subjects, reporting the research results from the organizations in charge of the respective subjects, and evaluating these results through the work of program director and program officers.
